Maj Manik is an alumni of NDA and IMA, and decorated veteran from Gorkha regiment and Mil Int. Post retirement he worked in Energy innovation and is a Echoing Green and Miller Center fellow in the USA and PM Modi's mission Innovation champion for his work in Rural Energy and water access. He's advisor in Global Energy policy at Johns Hopkins University and holds many teaching and instructional appointments in India and abroad. Presently he is visiting faculty at Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, and writes for various publications on issues of national security and geopolitics. Kupwara Codes, a military fiction, is his first book.
