Ranu Uniyal

Introduction

Ranu Uniyal is former Professor and Head, Department of English, University of Lucknow.  She is currently advisory board member (English) Sahitya Akademi. She was a Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Hull, UK. She has published four poetry collections: Across the Divide (2006), December Poems (2012), The Day We Went Strawberry Picking in Scarborough (2018) was translated in Spanish (2020) and This Could Be A Love Poem For You (2025). Saeeda Ke Ghar (Hindi Poems) was published in 2021. She coedited essays Reading Gandhi: Perspectives in the 21 st Century (2022), Mahatma Gandhi: Essays on Life and Literature (2023), Understanding Disability: Interdisciplinary Critical Approaches (Springer 2023). She is a founding member of PYSSUM, a day care centre for people with special needs in Lucknow. ranuuniyalpant@gmail.com.
