Dr. Kavita Bhatnagar, IRS, belongs to Ajmer. She did BA English Honours from Sophia College, Ajmer and Masters in Political Science from DAV College wherein she was awarded the university’s gold medal. She joined the Indian Revenue Service in 1996.

She has diverse experience in various charges in Central Excise, Service Tax, Customs and GST at Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Delhi and Bhopal.

She also holds a Doctorate degree on the topic -WTO & India’s Political Economy: A Critique’. She has recently done the Post graduate diploma in Public policy and management from MDI Gurugram.

She has been awarded the WCO Certificate of Merit in 2017 amongst other recognitions.

She writes poems and has brought out three anthologies of Hindi poems- Rishto ki Tanhaiyaa, Metro- Ek Mrigtrishna and 50 basant mere. She has now forayed in fictional writing and her novels ‘Second Chance’ and ‘Love Unlocked’were released in 2020 and 2022 respectively. Her writings focus on relationships and dwell on a woman’s perspective towards them.
