Niral Uprit

Introduction

Born on March 8 in Indore to renowned educationists Dr. Vivek and Mrs. Smita Uprit, Niral Uprit began her Kathak journey at the tender age of five under the guidance of Guru Mrs. Damayanti Bhatiya. She earned her Kathak Visharad with distinction, securing the highest marks in the city. Currently pursuing Kathak Alankar, Niral continues her training in both the Raigarh Gharana and the Dadheech style of Kathak, introduced by her grand-guru Padma Shri Dr. Puru Dadheech.

She has performed at some of India’s most prestigious platforms, including Malwa Utsav — Madhya Pradesh’s largest cultural event, the World Record Attempt at the 51st Khajuraho Dance Festival, ZEE TV Dance India Dance Little Masters, Maharaja Yeshwant Rao Holkar Utsav, Swachh Bharat Utsav under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Youth Festival, Kinkini Kirtan Rashtriya Nrityotsav, Nrityashalabham Dance Festival, Fluxus IIT Indore, and Yuva Talent Hunt, among many others.

Beyond her passion for dance, Niral is a published writer, anchor, voice artist, and a Business Administration student. She has also demonstrated her leadership and analytical acumen by winning multiple national-level business case competitions — including being the National Winner at the Mergers & Acquisitions Case Competition, IIT Delhi, and a laureate of the Young Changemakers Program at IIM Ranchi.

An articulate and inspiring speaker, Niral recently served as a guest lecturer at IIM Ranchi, where she conducted a workshop on ‘Communication from Within’, reflecting her commitment to empowering others through art and expression.


The Society for Culture & Environment will hold the fourth edition of 'Heartland Stories — Bhopal Literature and Art Festival 2022 as a physical cum virtual event, between 25-27th March 2022.
